Trot singer Song Dae-gwan passed away from a heart attack on the morning of the 7th. He was 79 years old. He debuted in 1967 with 'A Generous Man' and had released many hit songs including 'The Day Breaks,' 'Four Beats,' and 'Popular Song.' From the 1970s onward, he was known as one of the Four Kings of Trot alongside Tae Jin-ah, Hyun Chul, and Seol Un-do. Following news of Song Dae-gwan's passing, fellow singers including Tae Jin-ah and other figures in the entertainment industry paid their respects and expressed their grief. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the 9th at the Korean Singers Association, with the departure at 11 a.m. The burial site is Seoul Memorial Park.
