To commemorate the 180th anniversary of the martyrdom of Father Dae-geun Kim in 2023, the Dangjin Cultural Foundation will perform its original dance musical 'Andrea Dae-geun Kim' from November 12th to 15th at the Dangjin Arts Center. This work will grace the stage again after five years, following its premiere in 2020 and re-staging in 2021. It has been further developed with improvements in directing, choreography, music, and stage design for a more complete form. As a dance musical that conveys emotions and narratives through gestures, music, and stage art rather than dialogue, it is directed by Seok-yeol Choi, the youngest member of the National Dance Company and recipient of the President's Award at the Korea Dance Awards. The Dangjin Cultural Foundation plans to explore opportunities for cultural and artistic exchanges with overseas institutions through this performance.
