Changwon City BRT has been operating stably since its opening in May 2024 and is showing effects such as reducing bus travel time and improving bus stop environments. However, it has been found that it falls short of the S-BRT standard, unlike the expectations of 'subway on the road'. Due to the installation of bus-only lanes, there are still voices of complaints from passenger car users whose travel time has increased and inconvenience has occurred. The city is making efforts to minimize dissatisfaction among passenger car users through signal system improvements, and plans to expand the effects of BRT further by promoting the second phase project in the future.
