President Yoon Suk-yeol was transferred to Seoul Detention Center after an arrest warrant was issued on charges of insurrection and sedition. The detained president removed his business suit and put on a prison uniform with an inmate number, living in a solitary cell of approximately 3 pyeong like other unconvicted detainees. He is expected to maintain his status as sitting president and receive indirect protection from the Presidential Security Service. President Yoon will remain at the detention center for up to 20 days and undergo investigation by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials and the Prosecution.
