President Prabowo Subianto has agreed to a special price for subsidized diesel fuel for fishermen at Rp15,000 per liter. This decision was made in a meeting discussing the impact of the increase in non-subsidized fuel prices on fishing entrepreneurs. This special fuel price applies to fishing vessels with a size of 30 to 200 gross tons (GT). A subsidy of Rp3,600 per liter will be provided through the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) fund for six months ahead with a quota of 400,000 tons. This policy aims to help fishermen cope with fuel price fluctuations and maintain their business continuity.
