The 'K-Football Innovation Committee' for the complete renewal of Korean football has decided to extend the deadline for the next Korea Football Association president election. Although the current regulations stipulate that a new president must be elected within 60 days, the innovation committee recognizes the problems with the existing election method and plans to extend the election period through institutional support. Specific improvement measures such as the composition of the electorate will be discussed in the future. Co-chairman Park Ji-sung emphasized that "we will focus on improving the election system so that the next executive branch can properly carry out its work with trust." The innovation committee plans to discuss major tasks for strengthening the competitiveness of Korean football in the future through weekly meetings, including improvement of the K-football governance structure, youth development, and introduction of advanced systems.
