The United States and Iran have clashed again over control of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran attacked merchant ships passing through the strait and announced a blockade, while the US condemned the move as a violation of the armistice agreement and resumed airstrikes on major Iranian military facilities in the south. The US Central Command said it used F/A-18E fighter jets, drones, and precision-guided munitions to strike about 140 targets, including Iran's missile and drone bases and naval facilities. With this airstrike, the US has attacked more than 300 Iranian targets this week.
