# Summary

Mac users who use Logitech products have been experiencing a reset of their settings this week. Since Monday, the Logi Options+ and G Hub apps for macOS have suddenly stopped working, causing all device settings to revert to factory defaults.

According to posts on the Logitech customer support page and Reddit by Joe Santucci, Head of Marketing, the incident was caused by a failure to renew a security certificate, which resulted in both apps ceasing to function properly.

Logitech has begun distributing patch files for the two apps with the renewed certificate. However, due to the expired certificate, the app's self-update function is not working, making automatic fixes impossible. Users must manually install the patch or update version to restore app functionality and user settings. Logitech also stated that they are currently working on a new version. If you use both apps, you need to apply the patch individually for each app.
