Domestic representative regional life community Carrot announced on the 19th that it will apply the 'Immediate Purchase' function to e-coupon transactions.
This revision started with a focus on the need for user protection due to the characteristics of e-coupon transactions. Since e-coupons are transmitted and used in the form of digital codes such as barcodes or PIN numbers, there is a possibility of abuse, such as already used coupons being traded or coupon information being tampered with. Therefore, a more systematic protection system has been required throughout the transaction process. Carrot applied an immediate purchase method optimized for e-coupon transactions to strengthen both user protection and transaction convenience.
The usage method is simple. Sellers can upload e-coupon images by clicking 'e-coupon information > barcode registration' in the post writing stage, and barcodes or PIN numbers are automatically recognized and registered. Buyers can simply click the immediate purchase button to make a payment without any separate consultation process. Once the payment is completed, the e-coupon information registered by the seller is immediately and securely delivered only to the buyer. After the buyer confirms the validity of the e-coupon, the transaction is finally completed within 48 hours.
In line with this revision, Carrot has temporarily reduced the buyer's safe payment fee applied to immediate purchase of e-coupons from 3.3% to 2.2%. In addition, it has prepared an additional user protection system through Carrot's safe compensation system in case a problem occurs during the safe payment process.
