On January 21 (local time), according to foreign media, Chris Lhu, OpenAI's Chief Global Affairs Officer (CGAO), attended the 'Axios House Davos' event held in Davos, Switzerland and said, "We will be able to announce news about a new device this year."
The device, defined by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman as a 'peaceful alternative' to smartphones, has recently garnered attention with the code name 'Sweetpea' being leaked. While Lhu CGAO did not mention specific form factors, industry sources believe that the device is likely to be a wearable device worn behind the ear without a screen.
Rumors suggest that the device will be designed as a metal module in the shape of a pill and will provide a deeper ChatGPT integrated AI experience than AirPods. It is designed to utilize sensors to recognize the surrounding environment and enable email checking, information searching, and natural voice conversations without taking out your smartphone.
