KakaoTalk Open Chatting introduces 'comments' instead of 'replies'...strengthening conversation context
Kakao announced on the 21st that the KakaoTalk 26.1.0 update introduced a comment function to Open Chatting. The reply function in regular one-on-one chats and group chats remains the same as before, and the new method is applied only to Open Chatting.
Kakao explained, "The more people in Open Chatting, the more easily conversations get mixed up," and "Now you can comment on a single message and continue conversations on the same topic throughout."

Users were divided in their opinions. Many complained, "It's inconvenient because Open Chatting comment notifications keep going off," while some users responded, "The style similar to threads is interesting."
