We've already publicly expressed great expectations for LG's stunning new Sound Suite system. Judging by the pricing just announced, LG clearly has high hopes as well.
The Sound Suite consists of four products: the H7 soundbar, W7 subwoofer, and M7 and M5 wireless speakers, allowing users to build a system tailored to their needs and space.
It's also one of the first systems designed to create convincing Dolby Atmos sound regardless of the placement of individual components, featuring 'Dolby Atmos FlexConnect'.
Therefore, you can purchase the H7 soundbar alone or with the W7 subwoofer and/or a pair of speakers. In that sense, it's somewhat similar to Sonos' Arc Ultra, which can be used standalone or combined with Sonos subwoofers and/or Era speakers.
However, in the case of Sound Suite, if you own the latest LG premium TV, the TV acts as a FlexConnect hub, allowing the subwoofer and/or speakers to be connected directly without the soundbar. LG states that there are a total of 27 potential Sound Suite configurations, and it's even possible to build a 13.1.7 channel system if desired.
Building such a system will require deep pockets, as LG has set very premium prices for the Sound Suite in the UK and US (Australian pricing is yet to be determined). The prices are as follows:

The price of the H7 soundbar is the same as the 'What Hi-Fi?' Award-winning Sonos Arc Ultra in the UK (it's cheaper in the US). This is a bold move, especially considering that LG's recent soundbar audio quality record (while improving) hasn't been exceptional.
Building a full system with the H7 soundbar, W7 subwoofer, and a pair of M7 surround speakers will cost a total of £2600 / $2000. This is more expensive than Sonos' top-of-the-line 'Ultimate Immersive Set' (including Arc Ultra) currently priced at £2426 in the UK. However, it's cheaper than the US system price ($2806).
Keep in mind that the Sonos system includes a pair of award-winning Era 300 speakers with a five-star rating, the Arc Ultra, and the flagship Sub 4. With this pricing strategy for Sound Suite, LG is clearly challenging the strongest kid in school.
