Arcam's New Radia Loudspeaker Range Could Be the Perfect Match for Its Award-Winning Electronics
When Arcam's Radia 2-channel electronics range launched in 2024, it introduced a bold new look for the brand and delivered stereo performance at a level that generally took us by surprise.
Indeed, the Radia swept up no fewer than four awards at the 2025 What Hi-Fi? Awards, which speaks to just how much of an impression it made on our review team.
And now, hot on the heels of expanding the Radia range with a new line of home cinema amplifiers, Arcam has announced a matching Radia loudspeaker range to complement both the 2-channel and multichannel lines.
It will come as no surprise to hear that this six-strong lineup has been designed and tuned alongside the Radia electronics. So if you're looking to build a single-brand system, this could be a great place to start.
Arcam has gone a step further with these speakers. With certain Radia electronics (the SA35 and SA45 all-in-one streamers and the new AVR products), you can access 'Anechoic EQ (AEQ)', which fine-tunes the output of the compatible Arcam device to match your chosen pair of Radia speakers. This is based on testing carried out in Arcam/Harman's own anechoic chamber.
The lineup consists of two floorstanding models (R45, R35) and two bookshelf models (R25 – main image, R15), with the addition of a center speaker (R35C) and a subwoofer (R25B – pictured above) to add flexibility for those looking to build a surround sound speaker package.
Each speaker uses the design language of Arcam's sibling brand Revel, and makes extensive use of Revel's acoustic technology. For example, all speakers feature dome tweeters with the trademark design feature of an acoustic lens waveguide.
Bass and mid/bass drivers all use MCC (Micro Ceramic Composite) material, while the dedicated midrange drivers and tweeters are all coated in DCC (Deep Ceramic Composite) material. This is the first time DCC material has been used on an aluminum dome tweeter, with the aim of providing greater rigidity.
The speakers are available only in a dark Black Walnut solid wood veneer finish, which includes yellow accent design details that complement the Radia electronics.
Arcam has stated that the Radia loudspeaker range will be primarily a UK and European product, and will not be sold outside of those regions.
