The Raspberry Pi Foundation announced through its official blog that it would raise the prices of its miniature PC, the Raspberry Pi product line.
Eben Upton, CEO, cited the memory supply shortage caused by the spread of AI infrastructure as the background for the price increase. He said, "Due to fierce competition for memory production facilities amid the expansion of AI infrastructure, the price of LPDDR4 memory has soared to unprecedented levels," and added, "As we approach 2026, the upward trend in prices has accelerated further, with some component prices more than doubling compared to the previous quarter."
In particular, the 16GB model will see a $60 (approximately 80,000 won) increase, bringing its price to $205, a 70% increase from its initial launch price. This marks the highest price ever recorded for a Raspberry Pi.
