Google announced the rollout of Quick Share-AirDrop compatibility to the Pixel 9 series here.

This expansion of support signifies the strengthening of cross-platform file sharing on Android. Previously, Quick Share-AirDrop integration was limited to the Pixel 10 series.
Pixel 9 users can now leverage Apple's 'Everyone for 10 Minutes' mode to directly exchange files with iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The transfer process utilizes a P2P method without relying on external servers, replicating the native AirDrop experience.
It has also been recently confirmed that this functionality will not be limited to Pixel devices.
Google is working with Android OEMs to expand Quick Share-AirDrop compatibility to more Android devices, and a significant expansion of support is expected later this year.
Unfortunately, the 9a in the Pixel 9 series is not yet supported.
