Panasonic will no longer produce its own TVs.
Instead, the Chinese company Skyworth will manufacture and sell Panasonic TV brand products.
Sharp, Toshiba, Hitachi, and Pioneer have also withdrawn from the Japanese TV business,
and Sony has announced the sale of a 51% stake in its TV and home entertainment business to TCL.
This means that TVs produced in Japan are effectively gone.
