ChatGPT developer OpenAI has raised $11 billion (approximately 16 trillion won) in new investment.

OpenAI announced today (local time) that it has completed raising a total of $11 billion (approximately 16 trillion won) in new investment from Amazon, SoftBank, and Nvidia.
In this investment round, which is the largest in company history, OpenAI's corporate value was valued at $73 billion based on the valuation before the new investment. The corporate value including the new investment is $84 billion (approximately 1 quadrillion 200 billion won).
Amazon invested $5 billion in this investment round.
Amazon will first invest $15 billion and then invest the remaining $35 billion within a few months when certain conditions are met.
The two companies did not disclose what these additional execution conditions are, but Bloomberg News reported that OpenAI's initial public offering (IPO) or declaration of achieving general-purpose artificial intelligence (AGI) could be conditions, citing sources.
