Chrome's 2-week release cycle delivers features faster
https://developer.chrome.com/blog/chrome-two-week-release?hl=ko
Starting in September 2026, Chrome will transition from its current 4-week cycle to a 2-week release cycle.
Since 2021, Chrome has released new major versions every four weeks, providing users with security, stability, speed, and simplicity. In 2023, we introduced weekly security updates to further improve the patch gap and early stabilization releases to enhance release quality.
The web platform is constantly evolving, and Google's goal is to ensure that developers and users have immediate access to the latest performance improvements, fixes, and new features. To align with the latest web requirements, Chrome has been adjusting its release process and will now transition to a 2-week release cycle. While the release frequency will increase, the scope will be smaller, minimizing disruptions and simplifying post-release debugging. We are confident that these changes can maintain our high standards for stability thanks to recent process improvements.
With this new release cycle, starting with the stable release of Chrome 153 on September 8th, new beta and stable versions of Chrome will be released every two weeks. This change applies to all platforms, including desktop, Android, and iOS. There are no changes to the Developer channel and Canary channel.
