A trial service for women-only carriages has begun today on LRT Jabodebek in Jakarta, Indonesia. The service applies only on weekdays during commute hours (6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM). KAI introduced this policy to enhance the safety and convenience of female passengers, with the women-only carriage located at the end of each train. Clear signage and announcements will be provided at all stations during the trial period. LRT Jabodebek initially introduced women-only carriages following its opening in August 2023, but the service was temporarily suspended due to technical reasons.
