The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) (Administrator Heo Min) held a donation ceremony with Riot Games Korea (Korean representative, Jo Hyuk-jin) at 2:30 p.m. on March 17th at the Gwanghwamun ticket office of Gyeongbokgung Palace (Jongno-gu, Seoul) to improve the viewing environment of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The ceremony was held to donate five self-service ticketing machines.
Riot Games Korea has been carrying out various sponsorship activities since signing a "National Heritage Guardian" agreement with the CHA in 2012, including the purchase and return of domestic and foreign national heritage sites, and the preservation and utilization of royal relics and palaces.
Currently, there are ten self-service ticketing machines operating in Gyeongbokgung Palace. With the installation of the donated machines at the Gwanghwamun ticket office, it is expected that waiting times for domestic and foreign visitors who visit Gyeongbokgung Palace on weekends and holidays, when high congestion is anticipated for ticket purchase and entry, will be reduced, and viewing convenience will be improved. This will allow for a more pleasant viewing service.
The CHA plans to continue expanding social contribution activities in the field of national heritage and public-private cooperation based on its collaboration with "National Heritage Guardian" companies. The CHA will lead the protection of our national heritage and improve the convenience of visitors from all over the world.
