Following the "Right to Repair" legislation passed in the EU, it's reported that a battery-replaceable Switch 2 is set to launch in Europe.
According to a report by Japan's Nikkei, Nintendo is already preparing a battery-replaceable Switch 2 to comply with this law,
and while it's currently planned only for a European launch, they intend to expand it to other countries as well.

In short, starting from February 2027, batteries in electronic devices must be designed so that users can safely
replace them using common tools.
