New GTA 6 Features Leak: Visuals and AI Should Be Jaw-Dropping

A GTA VI product page with more detailed information than we've seen before has been posted on Amazon Brazil and Brazilian retailer Kabum. If this information is accurate, we can get a potential glimpse of what awaits when the game finally launches. However, when comparing this information with the videos we've already seen, some interesting questions arise, so let's take a closer look at this.

First, the Amazon Brazil page claims that GTA VI's campaign will utilize dynamic character switching between Jason and Lucia, a pair like Bonnie and Clyde. Based on GTA V and its complex three-character heists, this aligns with what we currently expect from Grand Theft Auto VI.

Note that the website video was captured at 1440p resolution and 30 FPS.

Interestingly, the Amazon product page also mentions deep social network features within GTA VI, which trigger unique side missions thanks to advanced AI and NPCs with routines. Red Dead Redemption 2 also featured advanced NPC AI, and previous investigations revealed actual URLs connected to GTA VI social media parodies, so this feature also appears highly plausible. We've also seen some of those fake social media videos in previous trailers, which further adds credibility to this idea.

Where things get more interesting is the Kabum product page, which outlines some exclusive PlayStation 5 Pro enhancement features, including promises for "more stable frame rates" and "higher resolution" on the PS5 Pro. This suggests that the 4K trailer footage we've seen so far may have been captured on that console.

However, the trailer footage was also captured at 30 FPS, and a separate website video set at 1440p rather than 4K has also been confirmed. This could mean that all console versions are targeting 30 FPS and that the PlayStation 5 Pro may be better able to maintain that frame rate. This is not surprising given how Grand Theft Auto V was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

However, keep in mind that no definitive figures for GTA VI's frame rate or resolution have been provided yet.

All official trailer footage so far has also been at 4K resolution and 30 FPS.

Based on how many PlayStation 5 Pro enhanced titles offer both "performance" and "quality" modes, trailer footage targeting 4K and 30 FPS is likely to correspond to quality mode, which means the 1440p footage corresponds to performance mode.

Third-party analysis suggests that 60 FPS may be entirely impossible on current-generation consoles due to the game's graphic complexity, but based on other large-scale ray-tracing-applied titles seen on consoles like Crimson Desert and Cyberpunk 2077, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of 1440p and 40 FPS on the PS5 Pro.

Based on these leaks (found by Vice), other features expected to be found in Grand Theft Auto VI include dynamic weather and day-night cycles, which align with expectations based on what we've already seen in previous games and footage.
