Codex for (almost) everything

Below is a translation of the post from the OpenAI X (Twitter) account.
(Almost) everything for Codex.
You can now use apps on your Mac, connect to more tools, generate images, learn from previous work, remember how users prefer to work, and perform continuous and repetitive tasks.
When using a computer on macOS, Codex can now see the screen, click, and type directly with the cursor to use all apps.
Codex runs in the background without taking over your computer and handles front-end repetitive tasks, app testing, or workflows in environments without APIs.
You can now generate images using gpt-image-1.5 within Codex without leaving your workflow, iteratively refine them, and create front-end designs, mockups, game assets, and more.
Access is included with your ChatGPT account and no separate API key is required.
Automation now works within the same thread, so Codex can maintain existing context and resume work from where it left off.
You can also schedule future tasks and automatically wake up to continue long-term projects. From approving unresolved PRs (pull requests) to following up on tasks or quickly catching up on fast-paced conversations, you can now schedule future work and have Codex wake itself up to continuously handle ongoing tasks.
We've also added support for over 90 plugins in Codex, giving you more ways to understand context and work within the tools you already use, from document editing and project management to code review, creative work, and deployment.
This update will begin rolling out to the Codex desktop app today.
