First 83-inch QD-OLED TV Panel Spotted in Certification Listings

QD-OLED TVs are currently available in sizes up to 77 inches, but the fact that Samsung Display has submitted an 83-inch panel for certification suggests that a release may be imminent.
According to X (Twitter) user Fury, all QD-OLED panels are manufactured by Samsung Display. An 83-inch QD-OLED panel has been listed in UL Solutions' database after the latest panel was submitted for 'QuantumView' verification.
Samsung Display announced earlier this week that "the entire QD-OLED lineup has successfully passed evaluation and demonstrated luminance of over 60% even at a viewing angle of 60 degrees, while also proving a minimum color deviation of less than 0.012 Δu’v’. This ensures consistent image quality across a wide range of applications, from TVs to dual monitors and professional reference displays."

Specifically, UL Solutions' database lists "QDOLED24.x, QDOLED27.x, QDOLED31.x, QDOLED34.x, QDOLED49.x, QDOLED55.x, QDOLED65.x, QDOLED77.x, QDOLED83.x". Notably, the rumored 24-inch QD-OLED panel is also mentioned.
This isn't the first time rumors of an 83-inch QD-OLED panel have surfaced, but it's important to note that previous rumors originated from Samsung's parts database. That model was ultimately revealed to be the 83-inch S95F, which uses a WOLED panel manufactured by LG Display.
This time, Samsung Display has directly submitted its entire QD-OLED lineup, including 24-inch and 83-inch panels, for certification.
Neither Samsung nor Sony has announced an 83-inch QD-OLED TV for 2026, but it's possible that Samsung could expand its TV panel mix (panel sharing) to include this size. Alternatively, the 83-inch QD-OLED panel may not appear until 2027 or 2028.
