Canonical releases Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Resolute Raccoon

Today, Canonical announced the release of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS with the codename "Resolute Raccoon", and this version can be downloaded and installed from ubuntu.com/download.
Resolute Raccoon builds on resilience-focused improvements introduced in the interim release, including TPM-based full disk encryption, enhanced application permission request support, Livepatch updates for Arm® based servers, and Rust-based utilities to improve memory safety. This release provides native support for industry-leading AI/ML toolkits such as NVIDIA CUDA and AMD ROCm, making Ubuntu 26.04 LTS an ideal platform for AI development and production workloads.
Ubuntu 26.04 LTS demonstrates best practices that provide the highest stability while embracing innovation and open source advancement.
