These days, when I see posts about Dossa, there are many articles pointing out that 'someone did this wrong'.
Anyone can say 'something is wrong'. The easiest thing in the world is prohibition.
While continuing to prohibit what is wrong, it seems that finding a better direction together will be the positive function and self-regulating mechanism of our community.
If you have any hopes while riding a bicycle, it would be good to write them down once in a while.
1. Currently, bicycle riding is illegal on the Han River bridges except for Mapo Bridge, Hangang Bridge, Jamsugyo Bridge, Jamsill Iron Bridge, and Gwnagjin Bridge (fine of 30,000 won).
=> Due to a lack of enforcement personnel, enforcement is not possible. Separation of bicycles (especially Ttareungi) and pedestrians currently illegally crossing for safety.
=> Physical separation of pedestrian walkways and bicycle lanes on bridges, or securing dedicated bicycle lanes through bridge expansion.
=> Long-term mobility city expansion possibilities, restoration of north-south traffic axis, etc. seem to have more positive effects.
2. Qualitative improvement of the Han River Bicycle Road
=> Quantitative expansion of bicycle roads is important, but quality management is also crucial. I previously filed a petition for widening the lanes on the Banpo Bicycle Road section. Expanding this to various parts of the bicycle road and introducing the concept of overtaking lanes and running lanes, and improving pavement markings to create a structurally safe traffic system.
3. Clarification of bicycle riding rights on roads and strengthening the effectiveness of bicycle priority roads
=> Bicycles are classified as 'vehicles' under the Road Traffic Act and are subject to right-side driving, but drivers' awareness of bicycles on the road is still threatening, and friction often occurs in the form of 'Why are you riding on the road?' Instead of simply drawing bicycle lanes (which can easily become useless due to illegal parking), large bicycle marks should be painted in the middle of the lane to explicitly state that cars and bicycles share the lane. The 'bicycle priority road' marking should be significantly expanded to major urban arterial roads.
