This is amazing news for fans,

the F-14 Tomcat, more famous than the protagonist of the movie Top Gun, is making a comeback.

A bill has passed to transfer three of the latest (and most advanced) F-14D fighter jets from the Arizona Boneyard to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Alabama. Not only will they be on display, but one of the three will be restored to flying condition.

The U.S. Navy will support the restoration with spare parts and manuals, bringing it back to a flyable state. While it won't be used for combat again, restoring this symbolic aircraft from the past is sure to excite fans.

News outlets in North America have already reported on this, and the Maverick Act bill is indeed real.

With Iran's F-14s confirmed destroyed in the recent conflict, it's interesting that this bill passed, allowing for the restoration of these jets after 20 years.^^
