Marshall Acton III: A New Edition Paying Tribute to Jimi Hendrix's Legacy
Marshall is releasing a special limited edition of its Bluetooth speaker, the Acton III, and other devices. These products are designed to honor rock legend Jimi Hendrix.
While Marshall is properly honoring rock legend Jimi Hendrix, they are also "incidentally" looking to increase revenue. To that end, the audio experts at Marshall have announced a new 'Marshall × Hendrix 60th Anniversary Collection'.
This is a limited-edition lineup that includes several products. Among them is a special edition of the Bluetooth speaker Acton III (Acton III). We've already tested this speaker.
Added to this are the 1959 JMH Half Stack and a limited-edition Fuzz Face pedal. All of Marshall's new audio products are designed to celebrate Jimi Hendrix's sound and aesthetics.
The limited-edition Acton III is inspired by Hendrix's love of velvet and silver. Accordingly, the Bluetooth speaker features a velvet finish, while the control panel shines in silver. To capture the charm of the 1960s, purple adjustment knobs and LEDs have been added.
On the side of the Acton III speaker, Jimi Hendrix's favorite symbol, the 'All-seeing eye,' is engraved in silver. But not only visually, but also acoustically, this new Bluetooth speaker edition will deliver a performance worthy of the musician Hendrix.
It features a new power on/off sound using his guitar recordings. This includes an excerpt from "Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)," a rare instrumental version from The Jimi Hendrix Experience Deluxe box set.

Are you wondering if there are any technical changes? Unfortunately, no. The Marshall Acton III is technically the same Bluetooth speaker as before. In addition to this, the manufacturer is launching a 1959 JMH Half Stack aimed at musicians. This product also combines purple LEDs and silver accents. The All-seeing eye badge adorns the top and bottom of the stack. All editions are handcrafted. The stack bundle includes an exclusive limited-edition Fuzz Face distortion pedal from Dunlop. According to Marshall, this combination allows for a faithful recreation of Hendrix's sound.
Incidentally, Jimi Hendrix not only used Marshall amps but also contributed significantly to the brand's global fame. So what about the price? The Acton III Hendrix Bluetooth speaker is currently available on the manufacturer's official website for €259.99, including two t-shirts inspired by Hendrix. It will be available in general stores from May 14, 2026.
