Korea will also participate in Anthropic's AI security cooperation project 'Glasswing'. In Korea, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and SK Telecom are included in the participating organizations.
Anthropic announced on June 2nd that it will expand its industry initiative 'Project Glasswing', which uses the cybersecurity-specialized AI model 'Claude Mithos Preview' to find and patch software vulnerabilities, to about 150 new institutions.
In early April, Anthropic provided access rights to Claude Mithos Preview to about 50 initial partners. Since then, partners have been using this model to check codebases for vulnerabilities, and have recently discovered more than 10,000 high-risk or critical security flaws.
Anthropic said, "As a result of close collaboration with Project Glasswing partners, the security industry, open-source software maintainers, and the US government over several weeks, we have been able to expand our partnerships to about 150 new organizations. Each organization must meet security requirements before gaining access rights."
The new group consists of organizations and companies based in more than 15 countries. According to foreign media reports, the expansion targets include Korea as well as European countries, India, and Japan.
In our country's case, the Ministry of Science and ICT is participating through the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and domestic companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and SK Telecom are included. With both the government and major corporations participating in Glasswing, cooperation in AI model-based cyber vulnerability detection and patching is expected to expand.
