Dell Unveils Two RGB Stripe OLED Monitors, Including the First 39-Inch 5K2K Model.

Dell's new 39-inch AW3926QW and 34-inch AW3426DW both feature RGB stripe pixels, but one is WOLED and the other is QD-OLED.
RGB stripe pixels are finally being introduced to OLED panels. At least in the monitor sector, that is; televisions haven't caught up yet. Panel manufacturers LG Display and Samsung Display both made announcements related to RGB stripes ahead of Computex 2026, which is taking place in Taiwan this week.
The good news is that with monitor manufacturers starting to announce their own RGB stripe OLED panels for release this year, it seems these panels are not going to be just a concept or a symbolic product.

Dell's New RGB Stripe OLED Monitors
At Computex 2026, Dell unveiled the 39-inch AW3926QW, an ultrawide monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 5K2K (5120x2160) resolution, 165Hz refresh rate (or 330Hz at 1080p resolution), and LG Display's latest tandem WOLED panel featuring RGB stripe pixels.
According to Dell, this is the first 39-inch monitor to feature RGB stripe pixels. In terms of specifications, it looks quite similar on paper to LG's current 5K2K 39-inch model, the 39GX950B, but it's worth emphasizing that the LG version does not have RGB stripe pixels.
Dell also unveiled the 34-inch AW3426DW, a successor to the AW3425DW. This model features Samsung Display's latest Penta tandem QD-OLED panel with RGB stripe pixels and boasts a 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440x1440 resolution, and a 280Hz refresh rate.

Brightness Impact Is Limited
Both models are gaming monitors released under Dell's Alienware brand. They are specified to have a peak brightness of 1300 nits in HDR and a full-screen brightness of 300 nits. If these figures are accurate, the transition to RGB stripe pixels appears to have had a limited impact on brightness levels.
Both models support Dolby Vision and HDR10, include HDMI 2.1 with VRR, G-Sync compatibility, FreeSync, and DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification. The AW3926QW features DisplayPort 2.1, while the AW3426DW has DisplayPort 1.4.
Dell stated that both models come with a three-year burn-in warranty, which is reassuring news for both WOLED and QD-OLED users.
The Dell AW3926QW is scheduled to launch this fall, while the AW3426DW will be available in July. Pricing for both monitors will be announced later.
