Steam Machine Verified and Steam Frame Verified (Standalone)
The Verified program is expanding to Steam Machine and Steam Frame.
Hello!
Starting today, we are expanding the Steam Deck Verified program to Steam Machine and Steam Frame, which are scheduled to launch this summer.
Like the Steam Deck Verified program, the purpose of this program is to help users understand what experience they can expect when they first launch a game on Steam Machine or Steam Frame, and how smoothly the game runs without any additional work or setup.
The Steamworks website has been updated with additional details on game optimization, certification requirements, and development recommendations for each device.

Steam Machine
Steam Machine is a PC running SteamOS, designed with various purposes in mind to allow you to easily enjoy PC games in the living room. The hardware's performance is approximately 6 times more powerful than Steam Deck, and like Steam Deck, Steam Machine can run software such as SteamOS, Steam interface, and Proton (a tool that helps run Windows games on SteamOS).
The Steam Machine Verified certification standards are nearly identical to Steam Deck Verified, and focus on the user experience when using Steam Frame with default settings, such as whether all features can be used with the default controller configuration without any additional work, or whether the default graphics configuration runs smoothly. Since tens of thousands of Steam games have completed compatibility reviews through the Steam Deck Verified program, we believe the Steam Machine Verified program will also be familiar to both developers and users.
In other words, if a game already runs smoothly on Steam Deck, it will also run smoothly on Steam Machine without any additional work. Even if a game doesn't run smoothly on Steam Deck due to CPU or GPU performance issues, it may still run well on Steam Machine. For such games, no additional measures need to be taken. Games that do not meet Steam Deck's performance standards are already being reviewed on Steam Machine.

Steam Frame
Steam Frame is primarily designed to run high-quality game streaming from a PC, but it also functions as a full PC running SteamOS with independent capabilities. You can play games solely with a headset, eliminating the need for any other devices or software.
Similar to the Steam Deck Verified program, the Steam Frame Verified (Standalone) program focuses on the gaming experience provided when running games independently using the default settings of Steam Frame. The compatibility review criteria are also similar, focusing on basic graphics configuration performance, readability of text and UI elements on the built-in display, and Steam Frame Controller compatibility with the default controller configuration. The same review criteria apply to both VR and regular games.

Partner Dashboard Updates
We have updated the Steamworks documentation for Steam Machine and Steam Frame for developers, and we have also added compatibility review information related to Steam Machine and Steam Frame to the Partner Dashboard. A new tab for Steam Machine and Steam Frame will now appear on the dashboard alongside the existing Steam Deck compatibility tab. Many games have already completed the compatibility review, so you can check the compatibility ratings for these new devices.
