Users can select "Ask Siri" in Spotlight search to ask questions, and access Siri for images, files, and text within the system-wide context menu. Visual Intelligence allows asking questions about, searching for, and executing follow-up tasks related to images or PDFs displayed on screen.
Siri AI also has a dedicated app on Mac for storing and displaying conversation history, allowing users to continue conversations started on other devices like iPhone. Write with Siri supports document writing, feedback, and style adjustments, while Messages and Mail can generate drafts tailored to the user's writing style and tone.
App improvements in macOS 27 Golden Gate are aligned with iOS and iPadOS. Safari supports automatic tab grouping and Notify Me, while Passwords app detects password issues and suggests fixes. Photos includes Spatial Reframing, Extend, and Clean Up, and Image Playground supports generating images in various styles. Shortcuts enables automations based on natural language descriptions.

Siri AI supports context-based searches based on personal information such as driver's license numbers, accommodation door codes, and information in notes, and can also perform app tasks such as sharing flight information with family or playing recommended music.
The home screen features a new Dynamic App Grid. Siri suggests apps, frequently used apps, and recently used apps are automatically highlighted, and the Siri app is always placed at the forefront. A new Tap Gesture is also included. Tapping your thumb and index finger together opens Smart Stack widgets for improved one-handed usability.
Health and fitness features have also been enhanced. Workout Buddy provides new insights based on workout records, such as pace, distance, and workout time, and can be used even when the iPhone is not nearby. Spanish language support is also included. Indoor running and walking distance measurement accuracy has been improved, and Cycle Tracking in the Health app now offers support for pre-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
The Find My app consolidates Find Devices, Find People, and Find Items into a map-centric view. Call Context displays relevant information on the Apple Watch screen during business calls. visionOS 27: Siri AI Tailored for Spatial Computing and 3D Work Features
visionOS 27 combines the spatial computing experience of Apple Vision Pro with Siri AI. Siri AI can be placed in a 3D visualization format within the Vision Pro space, and users can call it by looking at it and speaking. Users can brainstorm travel ideas, explore spatial experiences, or request photos, articles, and environments based on personal context.
Visual Intelligence expands to allow users to ask questions about objects or content within their field of view and execute follow-up actions. Siri AI also provides a dedicated app on Vision Pro, consolidating conversation history and supporting document drafting and feedback with Write with Siri.
Apple Intelligence is also applied to Safari, Passwords, and Image Playground. Safari automatically groups bookmarks and Reading List by topic, and the Passwords app helps update passwords with security issues. Image Playground allows users to create and edit images using voice or text descriptions.
visionOS 27 also features notable spatial capabilities. Users can transform panoramic photos into immersive spatial scenes and set them as personal Environments. Spatial Mac previewing is added, allowing users to bring 3D models they are working on from their Mac into the Vision Pro space for a preview and editing.
