Through Ed Hattenberger, Senior Color Expert who has developed color standards for over 15 years, and Matt Knoll, Technical Director and display calibration expert with 20 years of experience, we examined the certification process and its significance.

The key to Pantone's Artful Color certification is how accurately a display implements Pantone's extensive color library and skin tones under controlled lighting. Ed Hattenberger explained, "We measure products' color reproduction by comparing each item with Pantone standard data, and passing this means meeting strict standards for color accuracy and consistency." This is equivalent to a technical guarantee that the images displayed are very similar to actual color samples.
