Siri AI Blocked in EU…Apple "Privacy Risk" vs EU "Just an Excuse"

The DMA requires major platform operators to grant data access rights similar to their own services to prevent competitors from being excluded. In the case of Siri AI, which performs tasks on behalf of users across multiple applications (hereinafter apps) and personal information, photos, messages, videos, etc., Apple's assessment is that it may have to allow competing AIs such as OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic similar levels of access rights.
