Anthropic's artificial intelligence (AI) service 'Claude' has shown rapid growth in Korea's generative AI app market and emerged as the second-highest revenue earner.
According to market research firm Sensor Tower, Claude ranked second in revenue and first in revenue growth rate among Korean iOS generative AI apps from January 1 to June 5 of this year.
Until mid-March of this year, Korea's generative AI app market was dominated by 'ChatGPT' and 'Gemini', but Claude first surpassed Gemini on March 23, and the gap between the two services has since continued to widen. … …
Korea's market share is also notable. Looking at Claude's revenue share by country during the same period, Korea (4.7%) emerged as the second-largest revenue market after the United States (41.1%).
In the case of ChatGPT, Korea also ranked third in revenue share, after the United States (33.1%) and Japan (5.3%).
