Over the past few years, through 21 updates, I have organized the uphill courses encountered throughout the country in Gran Fondo and tour courses.
At first, when there were few numbers, even if I organized them in Excel and created image files to share, they were easy to find in the nationwide integrated difficulty level and city/province unit classification, but once it exceeded 300-400, finding them became tedious, and even when going on actual riding tours, when an uphill course appeared on the speedometer, it was difficult to easily check basic information like the distance, average gradient, elevation gain, start and end points of the section, and the difficulty level by taking out the phone right away.
The materials I made for my own use turned out to be quite inconvenient when I actually tried to search for them ㅎ
[650 Famous Uphills Nationwide Difficulty Levels]
※ Uphill course-related content was also posted on the Dossa Free Board here at the end of November last year.
However, sharing an Excel file was not feasible either because the uphill course content could be arbitrarily modified and changed...
Meanwhile, while thinking about what would be a convenient way for me to use that could easily be searched while riding, I attempted to create an APP that I could conveniently search myself using AI, which many people use these days, and the results don't seem bad. ㅎ
While creating the APP's database, finding the longitude and latitude for each of the start and end points of 650 uphill courses one by one on Google Maps and converting them to DB was completely laborious ㅎㅎㅎ. But with the sentiment that "even if there are hundreds of beads, they are precious when strung together," I thought I needed to make it easy to find while touring, and I eventually completed it.
Since I made it for my own use, I approached it so that only necessary things from the perspective of a general user (rider) rather than an expert could be searched in a simple way.
Since it was created based on Strava's famous uphill segments, you can think of it as those uphills that appear on the speedometer when many people tour nationwide.
Since I made it for my personal use, I named the app "Seorae Rider." ㅎ
※ When you log in for the first time, enter your email address and receive and enter the PIN. From the second login onwards, if you bookmark or create a shortcut on your desktop, it will automatically log in without any additional steps. (You must use your personal email address.)
The detailed composition of the app is as follows.
1. Uphill Courses
- Difficulty and information search for 650 nationwide uphill courses, map start and end point search
- When searching for the start and end points on the map, you must enter the uphill course name in the search box once more.
2. Gran Fondo
- Gran Fondo course uphill information (this is content that I have been continuously uploading to Dossa.)
3. World Cycling News
- Latest world cycling news
4. Riding Tours
- Domestic and international riding tour information
5. Purchase and Use Reviews
- Reviews of direct purchases and actual use
6. Information Collection
- Various information needed for riding
Since I created it by tinkering it together for my own convenient use from a non-expert user's perspective, there are still many things that are clumsy and awkward.
For someone who is not a developer, the results don't seem bad, so those interested in uphill courses may as well try using it. Of course, it's free ^^
In the side menu in the upper left, I have written the email address in "Inquiries and Correction Request Contact," so please use it if you have any inconvenience using it or want to modify the uphill course.
For records or in-depth data for each course, please use Strava, etc. The purpose of creating this app is to easily check information such as uphill course difficulty, distance, average gradient, elevation gain, and map start and end points on site during tours, so I hope it will be helpful for your riding.
It's not for commercial purposes, and since I made it simply for my own use but ended up here, it's an app with many shortcomings. Please don't criticize it too much for being crude... ㅎ
I plan to continuously add uphill courses and refine more details in the future.
Through my passion, I've come this far ㅎㅎㅎ
I hope you always enjoy safe and happy riding.
