Please forgive me for writing in a sarcastic tone for convenience^^
3rd year of road cycling, barely rode in the first 1-2 years, started doing Han River rides gradually starting this year for exercise
I wanted to go to a group ride once
Uphill experience: Airu, Paldang Bridge, Mieum Naru?? Haven't even been to the common Namsan or East 3 passes
No race experience
FTP: 2 points
Average speed: Around 25km average speed on Han River rides
Age: Middle-aged Weight: 62kg
After contacting Bun, I politely asked if this level of skill would be acceptable
When told to jump if not, I boldly accepted the challenge
I was scared after hearing that Dossa group rides are tougher than other group rides, but I took the challenge
I started falling behind from the beginning
Did I come for nothing? Was it a jump angle? All kinds of thoughts started going through my head
On the second attempt on flat terrain, I was able to run fairly well (the leader may have been controlling the pace, but my heart rate was in zone 4 or higher)
As expected, I fell behind on uphills and arrived last every time
I'm always grateful that Bun and others look after the back of the group
I think the key to uphills is riding a lot, not needing a good bike or low weight
New experiences
I'm very grateful that a member took a photo during a downhill run (my first riding photo)
I was going at an average speed of 35-40km
Downhill top speed 70km (never gone over 50km on Airu before)
Road riding (definitely seems to have better speed than on bike paths)
Pace riding (only tried drafting before, but it's definitely easier to ride and nice not to have to worry)
First time feeling that my wheel goes this well
First time using heavy gears 2-10 or higher
Drawbacks and aftereffects
Pads and tires wear out a bit faster
Danger of road riding
When I got home, I couldn't eat and slept for 2 hours (due to drinking a lot of fluids, getting heat exhaustion, and being tired?)
2 ways for beginners to quickly improve their skills
1. Cycling academy
2. Pace riding
Even if you're introverted, it doesn't matter, and those better than me can give it a try (anyway, you just ride)
You can rest occasionally at signals, supply stops, and downhills
Anyway, you just ride
I've attended 2 times so far, uphills were okay because there were downhills
Namhansanseong has uuuper~~ long uphills
Rideok is attached on the 6th and 13th
