The Overseas Koreans Foundation is promoting the "2025 Korean Language School Teacher Degree Program Support Project" to strengthen the professionalism of Korean language school teachers abroad and improve the quality of Korean language school education. We encourage many Korean language school teachers to apply for this program.
1. Project Overview
a. Project Objective: To enhance the capabilities of Korean language school education by supporting teachers' completion of a degree program (3rd year transfer) at a domestic cyber university, thereby strengthening the professionalism of Korean language school teachers.
b. Number of Selected Participants: 150
c. Eligibility: Employed Korean language school teachers (Limited to Korean language schools registered with the Indonesian Embassy)
* Transfer eligibility to university: Applicants must have an associate degree or higher (subject to each university's admission requirements).
d. Support Amount: Up to 540,000 won per semester (1,080,000 won per year)
* Approximately 40% tuition discount at the university, with a personal burden of approximately 300,000 won.
e. Support Period: Support for up to 4 semesters from the semester of enrollment (within 2 years)
* The support period will not be extended due to leave of absence, etc.
2. Main Schedule
a. Degree Program Information and Promotion (Overseas Koreans Foundation): Early December '24
b. Application for Admission Documents (Applicants) : Approximately December 1st, '24 to January 16th, '25 (subject to variation by university)
c. Announcement of Successful Applicants and Registration (by University): January to February '25
d. Final Confirmation of Support Recipients (Overseas Koreans Foundation): Mid-March '25
