A magnitude 2.8 earthquake occurred in the Karangasem region of Bali, Indonesia on the afternoon of December 1st. The quake struck at 11:57 PM local time with a depth of 18 kilometers. The epicenter was located approximately 33 kilometers southeast of Karangasem, Bali. The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has not yet provided detailed information regarding the cause of the earthquake or its impact on the local population.
