I'm actually not originally a developer (though I was an aspiring one 🥹), and in my 20s I was interested in databases and dabbled a bit.
Back in the ATmega128 days, I also tinkered a bit with motor control.
After that, by chance, I changed my major to mechanical systems and worked as a structural analysis engineer for just over 10 years, then retired (forcibly retired?) and tried my hand at driving trucks as an ordinary person (ruined by COVID) and running a restaurant (ruined by Yoon Seok-yeol), and for the past few years I've been enjoying studying Java and web development. (Before everything fell apart, I worked as a PM at a game company for about 2 years 🫢)
Before that, I often used ChatGPT or Claude because they seemed smarter than Stack Overflow, and Opus 4.6 was on a different level.
Anyway, I thought places like Clien and Damo-lang and Gaebalhan-dang were where professional developers gathered, so I occasionally lurked. But after coming back after a long time, I was surprised to see more posts from non-developers sharing apps or services they (?) developed rather than posts from developers ㅎㅎ (So I mainly hang out in the AI section) Well, whether you're a developer or not, if you didn't code but you did develop something, it's not bad or anything, but I was surprised by how many more Vibe Coding results there are than in the AI section. I sometimes wonder if it's intentional to receive harsh (?) evaluations from professional developers.
My first post ended up being a bit strange and silly, but I always envy and admire professional developers. I'll come visit often. 👍
