CJ CheilJedang is conducting a full recall of approximately 1,600 units of Bibigo Rich Kimchi Dumplings (400g) produced on September 24 after plastic contamination was discovered in the product. The current recall rate stands at approximately 60%, and CJ CheilJedang is investigating how the foreign material entered the production process. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recommends consumers stop consuming the product and return it to the point of purchase, assigning the recall a Class 3 level. The investigation revealed that plastic had been mixed into the dumpling raw materials, eventually contaminating the final product. CJ CheilJedang plans to strengthen its quality control system to prevent recurrence in the future.
