Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned of extreme heat conditions reaching up to 38.4 degrees in several regions. The highest temperature was recorded in the Larantuka area, while regions such as Majalengka, Semarang, and Bima experienced sustained temperatures above 37 degrees. BMKG attributed this temperature rise to a lack of cloud cover and the sun's position, but stated that it does not significantly affect Indonesia's seasonal changes. BMKG recommended that residents ensure adequate hydration, use sun protection, and prevent illegal fires, while requesting local governments to implement measures to reduce wildfire risks.
