BTS and BLACKPINK have been announced as additional nominees for the American music awards 'MTV Video Music Awards' (MTV VMA). The two groups were nominated together in the 'Best Group' category, and BLACKPINK's Jennie was also nominated in the 'Song of Summer' category. BTS is nominated in a total of three categories at this year's awards ceremony, and has the possibility of continuing its four-year winning streak in the 'Best Group' category since 2019. The MTV VMA will be held on September 27th in Los Angeles, USA.
