China has launched two artificial intelligence (AI)-based systems called AI-GeoMapping and AI-OreSeeking to modernize mineral exploration and geological mapping. AI-GeoMapping uses big data, AI, and other modern information technologies to create accurate geological maps with higher efficiency. The system has been tested in China and several other countries. Meanwhile, AI-OreSeeking automates the mineral search process by integrating geoscience data, geological knowledge, and data analysis algorithms. The system can identify potential areas for mineral exploration, set targets, and produce maps and evaluation reports.
