XLSmart launched a machine called ByeByeBox that can turn electronic waste into internet data. The machine accepts small unused electronic devices and weighs them to determine the amount of data that will be given to XL, Axis, and Smartfren users. This program aims to facilitate the management of electronic waste and increase awareness among young generations about the importance of recycling. The initial target of this program is to collect 600 kilograms of electronic waste by November 2026. The collected electronic waste will be reprocessed through a material recovery approach in accordance with circular economy principles.
