The Korean Red Cross, in collaboration with the government relief team, distributed relief supplies to residents in the flood-affected areas of Nepal. The Red Cross provided blankets, tarpaulins, mattresses, and hygiene kits that were pre-positioned in Nepal with support from Samsung. This relief effort is a result of the Red Cross's initiative this year to preposition 500 million won worth of relief supplies in Nepal and Indonesia for overseas disaster preparedness. The Red Cross is currently raising donations from the public with a goal of 1 billion won to support displaced people and restore damaged areas. Information on how to participate in the donation can be found on the Korean Red Cross website.
