Monster Hunter Rise 2 Release Date

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Release on Switch 2
Although we've already seen a lot of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Square Enix revealed another trailer during the Direct. While it seemed slightly less sharp and Yuffie's hair appeared to be experiencing Cloud Syndrome, overall, the brief glimpse showed that the remake and reverse technology work similarly on Switch 2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on April 8th.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Surprise Release for Switch 2
If three games featuring Sephiroth weren't enough, you can now experience Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion on Switch 2. This is a highly acclaimed and story-essential title.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Finally Arrives on Switch 2
While Age of Calamity performed well on Switch, the Switch 2 version promises better resolution and higher frame rates for a transformative experience reminiscent of Age of Imprisonment. A higher difficulty mode is also included. If you already own the original version, you can purchase the full name, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition Digital Switch 2 Version, at a discounted price. The Switch 2 version of Age of Calamity will be released on February 25th.
Metcha Cameleon Coming to Switch 2
The hide-and-seek hit of 2026 is coming to Switch 2. It's actually surprising that more games haven't made the leap from Steam. The Switch 2 version of Metcha Cameleon will be released later today.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Expansion Pass Adds Sunglasses Pokémon
And ribbons, along with other adorably irresistible accessories. It sounds excessively cute, with Dudunsparce and Enamorus joining the ranks of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While a precise release date hasn't been announced, the accessory DLC is planned for later this year.
Nintendo Adds Split-Screen Multiplayer to Star Fox
A free update for Star Fox will add split-screen multiplayer and three new battle mode stages. Up to four players can enjoy the action simultaneously on a single Switch 2 console. It will be released on September 29th.
Star Fox Adventures Finally Arrives on Nintendo Switch Online
After months of rumors about a new Star Fox Adventures, Nintendo has finally brought the classic title to its platform. Star Fox Adventures will be released later today on the GameCube app within NSO (available with an Expansion Pass).
Check Out The Witcher 3 Remastered Running on Switch 2
CD Projekt Red showcased The Witcher 3 Remastered running on Switch 2. While it doesn't quite match the visual fidelity of other platforms, it's a significant improvement over the original Switch version. The Witcher 3 Remastered will be released on September 29th, and owners of the original Switch game will receive a free upgrade.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is Coming to Switch 2
One of the best games of 2025, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, is coming to Nintendo's hybrid console as a "Royal Edition." It will include all previously released DLC and is scheduled for release in mid-2027.

Yo-kai Watch Gets Another Chance at Life
While Yo-kai Watch never truly found its footing outside of Japan, it looks like it's getting another chance in the near future. Level-5 has teased a Switch 2 version of Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domains. Will this be a compilation of the three versions of Yo-kai Watch 2? Or will it be an entirely new game? Nobody knows for sure. Level-5 hasn't revealed much else about the game.
Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition Lets You Command Your Pikmin with Voice
You can command your Pikmin to do even more. This upgrade adds voice support, allowing you to give orders to your Pikmin and tell them how great they are using voice commands. There's also a new Dandori mode called "Dandori Academy" that offers various puzzles and three difficulty levels. Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition launches on November 12th. If you already own Pikmin 4, you can purchase an upgrade pack to access the Switch 2 edition.
Onyx: The Dark Grip Utilizes the Switch 2's Touchscreen
Onyx: The Dark Grip looks a lot like a DS game. It's a new horror puzzle game where you guide the protagonist using the touchscreen, but they perceive this as supernatural interference and risk losing their sanity if they persist.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Gets a Switch 2 Version with New Modes and Heroes
The Switch 2 version of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 adds a new RTS Lite mode where you lead small armies into battle, eliminate enemies, upgrade your combatants, and recruit more heroes to face a final colossal enemy. Nintendo also revealed a new attacker who can see the future named Shimmer, but they haven't explained how she fits into the story.

Rumors of a New 2D Metroid Were True
Rumors of a new 2D Metroid have been swirling for months, and they've turned out to be true. It's called Metroid Prime: Laborers, and it looks like the most action-packed game MercurySteam has ever made. Samus is stranded on a satellite and desperately fights her way back to the surface, battling giant snakes and samurai-like warriors while using Metroid Dread's special Metroid abilities to absorb enemy powers. Metroid Prime: Laborers launches on January 28th.
