The increase in household loans by banks in August was 3.4 trillion won, the lowest level in four months, showing a decrease for two consecutive months. However, the increase in housing collateral loans expanded compared to July, increasing by 4 trillion won. This is analyzed to be due to the increase in housing transactions and the expansion of move-in volume in the metropolitan area. On the other hand, credit loans have shifted to a downward trend. The total increase in household loans by the financial sector was 2.6 trillion won, down from the previous month, while the increase in housing collateral loans expanded. Bank deposits increased by 100 billion won in August, reversing the downward trend. In particular, regular deposits continued to show an increasing trend.
