MediaTek launched the Helio G99 Plus chipset for affordable smartphones. This chipset offers an upgrade from the Helio G99 with support for faster LPDDR5X RAM, allowing smartphone manufacturers to use the latest RAM technology. However, core specifications such as the octa-core CPU and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU remain the same as the Helio G99. The Helio G99 Plus supports displays with a resolution of up to 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz, as well as cameras up to 108 megapixels. There is currently no information on the first smartphone that will use this chipset.
