The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is raising concerns, especially from its developers themselves. Jakub Pachocki, Chief Scientist OpenAI, suggests slowing down the development of increasingly sophisticated AI models because there is no readiness to face the consequences. These concerns arose after the launch of GPT-6 Astra, the most advanced AI model capable of performing various complex tasks well. Pachocki predicts a surge in AI capabilities in the coming years, with AI even being able to develop itself through a process of "recursive self-improvement". This triggers fears of autonomous AI agents emerging and pursuing their own goals beyond human control.
